Ion Exchange Resin Softener Introduction:
A water softener is a device about the size of a computer tower. It gets plumbed in to your house, usually underneath the kitchen sink, and it takes the water as it comes into the house and runs it through a pair of softening tanks, which remove the minerals from the water that cause limescale and soap scum.
Every so often, the machine flushes the minerals from the tanks by rinsing them through with salt water, which is why it needs to be kept topped up with blocks of salt. Aside from that, you don't need to do anything to keep it running.
At the heart of a water softener is its ion-exchange resin. The resin consists of microscopic beads, and as the hard water passes through them, they trap the magnesium and calcium ions that are in it, so the water comes out totally soft. This is a fairly simple process that's been in use for over ninety
The Brine System
The polyethylene brine tank can be placed up to 15 feet away from the softener and holds enough salt for 5+ regenerations before it needs to be refilled. The automatic refill control is backed up by a safety float shut-off valve so that it doesn't overflow. The correct amount of brine is measured automatically with the brine valve.
Regeneration Options
Program Timer: A twelve-day switch allows you to select the time of day and the frequency when it will regenerate. The switch automatically starts, goes through the regeneration cycle, and places the unit back online for service.
TCFT: Indicates program timer regeneration.
Automatic Reset Water Meter: A set amount of gallons is selected and once that is used up, the timer starts regeneration and automatically resets.
TCFM: Indicates meter initiated regeneration.
TCFM(R): Indicates meter initiated regeneration. (3/4")
TCFM-E: Indicates electronic meter initiated regeneration.

How long does a water softener last?
A good water softener system will last many years. Water softeners that were supplied in the 1980's may still work, and many need little maintenance, besides filling them with salt occasionally.
How often should one add salt to a softener?
Salt is usually added to the reservoir during regeneration of the softener. The more often a softener is regenerated, the more often salt needs to be added. Usually water softeners are checked twice a month and to guarantee a satisfactory production of soft water, the salt level should be kept at least half-full at all times.
02.What is the working hours for this water softner each day?is it continuous 24 hours working or not?
03.Do you require the whole water softener system be assembed and installed into an integrated compact cabinet?
